This pattern has a huge return for your invested time and materials! Malina will share insights into picking your fabrics, tips for cutting and tricks to keep Jack the Ripper away!! this quilt is actually pretty fast to come together (after the cutting is done), with only THREE seams to join. Bring a friend and come ready for a day of fun!
Pattern: Luminary by Jamie Swanson. Finishes at 42" x 55", Malina's sample is48" wide with the extra broader.

| Requirements: | SUPPLIES: Pattern: Luminary by Jamie Swanson fat eighth bundle of at least 18 fabrics OR precut 2 1/2 strips with at least 30 strips OR 10" pre-cut squares with at least 40 squares Pattern calls for 200 strips that are 10"-11" long and 1"-2" wide. You may need extra strips if your widths tend to be on the smaller side. Background: 2 yards, non directional fabric Backing: 3 yards Binding: 1/2 yard BRING TO CLASS: Precut fabrics, pattern, Diamond template, Iron your fabrics if they're wrinkled. You don't want to spend an hour doing that in class. Basic sewing supplies (including sewing machine!) Rotary cutter & acrylic ruler (I used my 6x6 and 6x12) Machine needles: if you're using Batiks, you need to use Sharps, size 70, Fresh thread, Other sewing tools that make you happy, Snacks, water, coffee, lunch (or you can pop out and pick lunch up) |
