Beginning Quilting Class
Looking for interested individuals who would like to learn a new craft.
We will be talking about the tools, tips, and process of making a quilt. There will be a lot of time for questions to go over the basics of what quilting covers.
You will be making an easy, beginner-friendly quilt with just one Jelly Roll! Shanna walks you through each step of creating the block, including sewing with a quarter-inch seam and pressing your fabric strips.

| Requirements: | Pattern calls for one jelly roll (34 strips at 2.5" WOF) and one yard coordinating fabric, 5/8 yard binding fabric, and 3 1/3 yard backing fabric. First day, bring in a Jelly Roll, coordinating fabric, (or scraps of fabrics), sewing machine and coordinating thread. Class attendees will receive a 10% for anything bought in the store for this class. |

| Instructor Bio: | Shanna Bailey learned quilting as a child with each Grandmother and a Grandpapa. Teaching how to create things from what you have with the understanding using the tools you have helps you to accomplish your goals. As an adult, Shanna picked up quilting as a part of healing her fathers passing, found fabric that sang to her heart in the patterns her grandmother used; turning the old into the new. Shanna has been quilting since 2010. She had a blog of Fiber of All Sorts (with activity from 2010-2015). Shanna is a positive soul who understands there are different learning styles along with where we are at different places on our quilting journey. If you have specific questions or concerns reach out to the store or to the instructor throughout the class. |
